Absolutely ridiculous and brilliant at the same time!!
I couldn't set my favourite tracks (Do Hot Girls Like Chords & It's All Nothing Until It's Everything)
The skill and talent you can hear on this album is just mind blowing. Can't believe I've only just discovered them!
The videos on Youtube are well worth a watch as well - the videos for my favourite two tracks are just brilliant, and are totally worth it to see Sam Wilkes living his best life on the bass!!
The Rumblist
My spirits are immediately lifted when I hear the first track in this album. "Funky Duck" is one of few songs that slaps without a drum kit. The rest of the album is a cozy cushion of zen; funky, upbeat, low-volume. This was my chicken soup when I got COVID at the beginning of the year. t0cktock
Melvins fans will flip for this lost ’90s indie classic, with its sludgy guitars, hypnotic rhythms and irresistible hooks. Essential. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 13, 2020
I spent my New Year's hangover listening to "Sky Mall" on repeat, when I discovered my new favorite bass player. "Fugue State" is what you get if the Muscle Shoals musicians took a break to noodle around on Bach and eventually became my wake-up alarm. "First Place" reminds me of that scene in "Clerks" where Randal walks into the adult video store. t0cktock
